In His entire life period Sree Sree Thakur feels His life in the life of others. His endeavor to uplift the poor, depressed, downtrodden and problem stricken people by alleviating their misery, suffering and by redressing their grievances, knew no bounds. He was ready to relinquish an empire to save an individual soul.
Once one tantrika(Sakti sadhak) was preparing to kill one kid to offer puja to the goddess at the burial ground of Himaitpur. When Sree Sree Thakur came to know the matter, requested him like any thing to make the kid free and lastly even at the cost of His own life. But the tantrika did not listen to it rather engaged a team of persons to guard it. One of the devotees of Sree Sree Thakur; Nafar Ghosh with full vigor very tactfully snatched away the kid and rushed to Sree Sree Thakur. By seeing the poor little animal He was so happy that His joy was inexpressible. When somebody breaks the branch of a tree He was unable to tolerate it and feels as if His own limbs are being broken. He feels all beings as His own for which He is worshiped as the supreme lover of mankind the Purusottam. In His holy advent the world gets a glimpse of new light. Life Of All Lives
Other day during winter in the bank of river Padma one gunman on starting to shoot to two birds. Sree Sree Thakur shouted immediately at ashram. Luckily both the birds flew away and sat at a distance place. Again he tried and when started the rifle, Sree Sree Thakur shouted very loudly saying, “Aha, Aha, birds have died”-as if the bullets were pierced in His own body. He felt the injuries of the birds very seriously and fell down on the earth. By observing this the devotees present around him could not check tears.
whenever any animal was being wounded in His presence the affected sign was visible in His body. Once Sree Sree Thakur along with Dr. Satish Chandra Joyardar, Birendra nath Roy and Dr. Gokul Mandal were going to the residence of Dr.Gopendra Chandra Saha of Baradi village by a horse driven cart. The horse was relatively week and due to slow movement the coachman had beaten the horse thrice. After this Sree Sree Thakur got down from the cart and insisted others to get down saying that the horse was feeling very pain. Finally they all walked and reached the village. After taking rest for a while Sree Sree Thakur went to bed without shirt and shawl. One of His disciples in course of offering service could traced out three distinct marks on His back. He inquired again and again. Although initially Sree Sree Thakur was reluctant, but finally disclosed the real fact. Again he asked; horse was being beaten, but how the marks came to your back? Sree Sree Thakur revealed that,since I felt my self very intensively the pain of the horse, so it occurred. Life Of All Lives
Once Sree Sree Thakur and Kishori mohan Das were going by the side of the Himaitapur burial ground. One cow during grazing fell down to the down side of the Padma river and hanged by the rope. Under this dangerous condition it was crying very loudly .Sree Sree Thakur directed Kishori mohan to go down and push the animal upward and He Himself dragged the rope from the upper side. By this way the cow was saved from the sure death moment. At the time of this operation unknowingly the cloth of Sree Sree Thakur moved around the neck. On reaching at ashram when the cloth was opened from the neck it was noticed that the clear sign of strong tightening of rope was visible. On query He expressed that due to my strong feeling it happened. He is identified in all the beings and existence of lives.
Not only the large animals but also the small tiny organisms were under the fold of His divine love, affection and sympathy. At the early stage there was no pacca toilet at Himaitpur ashram. Sometimes Sree Sree Thakur used to go to the toilet made up of bamboo. On noticing dung roller in the stool basin He tried to rescue them all and took bath in the river Padma. One day during the course of conversation on dung roller He narrated that, ” You see ,how the god has given so much of power to these insects; when they are flying it seems as if an aeroplane is coming and the dirty materials do not cling to their oily bodies. But when they fall into the stool basins they forget about their strength. By shaking the body they allow the dirty materials to fall down. They become unconscious when drowning in the stool basin and almost experiencing death condition. Same condition also happens in case of human beings. Living in families he suffers from so many problems but forgets that, he is the son of the almighty; possessing vast amount of energy and if he desires can make himself free from the sufferings. But man does not think so, feels himself inefficient or coward and is being destroyed.”
Even for the plant kingdom Sree Sree Thakur was very generous. Number of babala trees were there inside the ashram. Once one of the branches of a tree was bent down by the storm and sometimes it created hindrance in walking. In presence of Sree Sree Thakur no body dared to cut it down. One day morning Sree Sree Thakur accompanied by other devotees went to the residence of Jogen Roy of Kasipur village. During this time Nafar Ghosh cut down the branch. Returning to ashram when He observed that the branch was cut down He became very sorry and felt like any thing. He called Nafar and told that the branch could be tied with the trunk and saved easily. Again by His direction Nafar brought soil, straw and cow dung, pasted on the cut place and arranged forgiving water regularly. During the construction of buildings in ashram He tried His level best to save all the trees.
During His child age many a times He untied the cows of the neighbors to move freely. Nearest to His residence one low land was there and the fishermen were used to fish. Once He observed that the fishermen caught the fishes and kept in their bamboo Basket for selling in the market. He was shocked by seeing the sufferings of the living fishes. On query He came to know that it will be sold at the cost of two rupees, Immediately He rushed to His mother and asked for the same amount and could get it, although with much difficulty.Then by offering the money to the fishermen He brought the fishes and rescued them in water. He got maximum satisfaction, but again thought that the fishermen would repeat the same activities in future. For that reason He wished the land to be dried permanently and that also happened. In His student career once the teacher explained from the book ‘Instructive Reader’ the sentence “Do unto others as you wish to be done by” which impressed Him a lot. Once in His return from Padma school there was hailstorm on the way and the total area was flooded. By the side of a stream in the rapid flow of water and hailstorm an old muslim fell down and just shouting ‘Allah, Allah. At once Sree Sree Thakur rescued him with much difficulty and the victim embraced Him saying ‘You are my Allah. He brought the old man to a nearby muslim house and started warming. After his relief Sree Sree Thakur proceeded to the house. After covering some distance one bird (Bajapakshi) being affected by the stormy weather took rest on His shoulder for a while and flew away with much satisfaction.
when Sree Sree Thakur was the student of Naihati school, by observing the sufferings of the people He started ‘Sevasamiti’ and ‘Anantha Bhandar’ by the help and co-operation of Paramesh chandra Chakravorty and He managed the organization very smoothly begging from others. In this way He helped the poor and sick persons supporting them with food, clothing, medicine and service etc. Once in strong winter He stretched His costly cloth on the bench for His friends to sit comfortably. In another day a bird from the highest sky came down and sat on the lap of Sree Sree Thakur when He was accompanied by others in a goldsmith shop. Life Of All Lives
Sree Sree Thakur gave maximum importance on individual reformation. Number of persons could be saved by coming in contact with this great soul. With His clarion call ‘Hate the sin, not man,the sinner uncountable fallen persons from the country and abroad could get a divine life.
